At HYA Yoga we welcome new students of all experience levels.

We do our best to support their growth and learning process, both at a physical & spiritual level.

Also, if you are completely new to yoga or would like a refresh of the basis, keep an eye out for our 4 week Foundations Course. 

This course is designed to introduce you to the foundations of the physical practice and will highlight the associated health benefits of yoga.

Participant numbers are capped to provide students a more individualised focus and instruction. Beginners will complete the course with the knowledge and confidence to attend any of the classes on the schedule with ease.

Yoga practitioners who have been practicing for a while will learn tips and tricks that will help them solidify and advance their practice.

  • Arrive at least 10 - 15 minutes before class to fill in our new student form.

  • Let your teacher know if you are pregnant or working with any specific conditions/ injuries so they can advise you on any modifications to apply during the class.

  • Have a look at our class styles and decide which works best for you - a good place to start is in our Yin and Align classes

  • If you think you are not flexible enough to do yoga think again! Its the best place to start!

  • Bring a Mat if you have one (we do have mats available), some water & a small towel. 

  • Leave your phone outside of the studio on silent. 

  • Minimize conversation in the studio space.

  • Enjoy the time you have taken out for yourself!
